Every question answered
Everything you want to know about AudFlo, AEO, how the audit works, what your data is used for, and how pricing works.
What is AudFlo
What is AudFlo?
AudFlo is a free AEO and SEO audit tool built for vibe coders. You paste your site URL, and AudFlo runs a 32-layer diagnostic across four systems: Visibility, Understanding, Selection, and Authority. It finds the specific reasons AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews are not citing your site, and generates paste-ready prompts written in the syntax of your AI coding tool so you can fix what was found immediately.
Who is AudFlo built for?
AudFlo is built for founders and developers who shipped a site using an AI coding tool like Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, or Claude Code, and want to know why their site is not appearing in AI-generated answers. It is designed for people who understand code but do not want to spend hours learning SEO theory. The output is actionable prompts, not a 200-page report.
Is AudFlo free to use?
Yes. The free tier requires no signup and audits any public site across 8 audit layers, two per system. Signing in with an email address unlocks 16 layers at no cost. The Pro plan at $9 per month unlocks all 32 layers, the full fix prompts with tool-specific syntax, comparison views, score history, and JSON export.
What is AEO
What is AEO, Answer Engine Optimization?
AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimization. It is the practice of structuring a site so AI engines can extract, understand, and cite its content when answering user questions. Search engines like Google rank pages. Answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity extract and present information directly in their answers. The signals that determine whether a page is cited are different from traditional SEO ranking signals.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO focuses on keyword targeting, backlink building, and ranking position in search results. AEO focuses on making content extractable, trustworthy, and citable by AI answer systems. A page can rank on the first page of Google and still be completely invisible to ChatGPT. AEO requires structured data, clear entity definitions, answer-dense content, and authority signals that AI systems can verify.
Why does AEO matter more in 2026?
By 2026, a significant share of information queries are answered directly by AI systems without the user clicking a traditional search result. If your site is not being cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews, you are invisible to a large and growing portion of the traffic that used to come from organic search. AEO is the practice of fixing that invisibility.
How AudFlo differs from SEO tools
How is AudFlo different from Ahrefs, Semrush, or Screaming Frog?
Traditional SEO tools were built for agencies managing hundreds of sites for Google ranking. They cost $99 to $500 per month, require significant SEO expertise to interpret, and produce outputs designed for keyword research and link building. AudFlo is built for a solo founder who shipped a site with an AI coding tool and wants to know why it is invisible to AI answer engines. The output is two paste-ready prompts, not a 200-page report requiring an SEO specialist.
Does AudFlo replace my existing SEO tools?
Not entirely. AudFlo focuses on AEO and the signals specific to AI citation. If you run paid search, need competitor keyword data, or manage backlink profiles, you still need traditional SEO tools for those tasks. AudFlo is the layer on top of traditional SEO that addresses the new requirement of AI answer engine visibility.
Supported tools: Bolt, Lovable, v0, Cursor, and React
Does AudFlo work with sites built on Lovable, Bolt, v0, or Cursor?
Yes. AudFlo automatically detects the tool used to build your site by inspecting HTML signatures in meta tags, script attributes, and generator comments. It supports Lovable, Bolt.new, v0 by Vercel, Cursor projects, Claude Code projects, Replit, Framer, Webflow, WordPress, raw Next.js, and raw Vite/React builds. Detection is automatic and requires no manual input.
Does AudFlo work with plain React or Next.js sites?
Yes. AudFlo audits any publicly accessible site regardless of how it was built. For React and Next.js sites that render content client-side, AudFlo also checks whether the content is server-rendered or only available in JavaScript, which is a critical visibility issue. Sites that rely on client-side rendering for their main content fail the rendering check.
What if AudFlo does not detect my tool correctly?
If tool detection is incorrect or unsure, AudFlo defaults to generic prompt instructions that work with any AI coding assistant. You can still apply the fix prompts by pasting them into your preferred tool. If detection is consistently wrong for your stack, you can contact support at contact@audflo.com.
What data AudFlo can and cannot inspect
What data does AudFlo read from my site?
AudFlo reads only what is publicly accessible at the URL you submit. This includes the raw HTML response, HTTP headers, robots.txt, and sitemap.xml. It does not execute JavaScript for the primary check, which is intentional since AI crawlers often do not run JavaScript either.
Can AudFlo see my API keys, environment variables, or private data?
No. AudFlo only reads publicly accessible content. It cannot access your codebase, your environment variables, your database, anything behind authentication, or any data not visible in the raw HTTP response of the URL you submit.
Can AudFlo audit pages behind a login or paywall?
No. AudFlo audits the content that an unauthenticated visitor or crawler would receive. If your URL redirects to a login page, AudFlo audits the login page, not your protected content.
How prompts work
What are the Quick Fixes and Deep Fixes prompts?
Quick Fixes is a prompt containing the five to ten highest-impact, lowest-effort changes identified in your audit. Deep Fixes is a prompt containing the structural changes that require more development effort. Both prompts are written specifically for your site and formatted for the AI coding tool that built your site.
Do I need to modify the prompts before using them?
No. The prompts are generated specifically for your site and audit results. Paste the Quick Fixes prompt directly into your AI coding tool and apply the changes. Then re-audit. The prompts are designed to be used without modification, though you can always review and adjust them before applying.
How are the prompts different for each AI coding tool?
AudFlo detects which tool built your site and formats the prompt instructions in that tool's natural command style. Lovable prompts use chat-style natural language. Cursor prompts include file path references. Bolt prompts use Bolt's project structure conventions. The content of the fixes is the same, but the delivery matches the tool you are using.
